Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who have an anxious heart, 'Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.' Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. Isaiah 35:3-6 (ESV)
Lord, because of You, people live. Because of You, my spirit also lives; You made me well and let me live. It was for my own good that I had such troubles. Because You love me very much, You did not let me die but threw my sins far away. Isaiah 38:16-17 (NCV™)
Have you not known? have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't faint, neither is weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to him who has no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 (HNV)
"Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10 (NRSV)
Truly, He has taken away our weaknesses, and He Himself has carried our sorrows. And we thought of Him as if He were a leper, or as if He had been struck by God and humiliated. But He Himself was wounded because of our iniquities. He was bruised because of our wickedness. The discipline of our peace was upon Him. And by His wounds, we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5 (CPDV)

"Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4 (KJV)
Upon descending from the hill country He was followed by immense crowds. And a leper came to Him, and throwing himself at His feet, said, "Sir, if only You are willing You are able to cleanse me."
So Jesus put out His hand and touched him, and said, "I am willing: be cleansed." Instantly he was cleansed from his leprosy. Matthew 8:1-3 (WNT)
When Jesus entered Peter's house, He saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever; He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve Him. That evening they brought to Him many who were possessed with demons; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and cured all who were sick. This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah, "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases." Matthew 8:14-17 (NRSV)
A great crowd followed Him and thronged about Him. And there was a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. She had heard the reports about Jesus, and came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.
For she said, "If I touch even His garments, I shall be made well." And immediately the hemorrhage ceased; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.
And Jesus, perceiving in Himself that power had gone forth from Him, immediately turned about in the crowd, and said, "Who touched My garments?"
And His disciples said to Him, "You see the crowd pressing around You, and yet You say, 'Who touched Me?'"
He looked around to see who had done it. But the woman, knowing what had been done to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease." Mark 5:24-34 (RSV)
Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" Mark 9:23-24 (NKJV)
With God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37 (KJV)
Men came to Jesus and said, "John the Baptizer sent us to ask You, 'Are You the One who is coming, or should we look for someone else?'"
At that time Jesus was curing many people who had diseases, sicknesses, and evil spirits. Also, He was giving back sight to many who were blind. Jesus answered John's disciples, "Go back, and tell John what you have seen and heard: Blind people see again, lame people are walking, those with skin diseases are made clean, deaf people hear again, dead people are brought back to life, and poor people hear the Good News. Whoever doesn't lose his faith in Me is indeed blessed." Luke 7:20-23 (GOD’S WORD®)
The man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had disappeared in the crowd that was there. Later Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, "See, you have been made well! Do not sin any more, so that nothing worse happens to you." John 5:13-14 (NRSV)
"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." John 14:12-14 (ESV)
It was the power of His name that gave strength to this lame man. What you see and know was done by faith in His name; it was faith in Jesus that has made him well, as you can all see. Acts 3:16 (GNT)
After proclaiming the Good News to the people there and gaining a large number of converts, [Paul and Barnabas] retraced their steps to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch. Everywhere they strengthened the disciples by encouraging them to hold fast to the faith, and warned them saying, "It is through many afflictions that we must make our way into the Kingdom of God." Acts 14:21-22 (WNT)
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. Romans 5:3-5 (TLB)
Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Romans 12:12 (NRSV)
Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB)
So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NRSV)
For we know that when this tent we live in now is taken down—when we die and leave these bodies—we will have wonderful new bodies in Heaven, homes that will be ours forever more, made for us by God Himself, and not by human hands. 2 Corinthians 5:1 (TLB)
If I wanted to brag about myself, I would not be a fool, because I would be telling the truth. But I will not brag about myself. I do not want people to think more of me than what they see me do or hear me say. So that I would not become too proud of the wonderful things that were shown to me, a painful physical problem was given to me. This problem was a messenger from Satan, sent to beat me and keep me from being too proud. I begged the Lord three times to take this problem away from me.
But He said to me, "My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, My power is made perfect in you." So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ's power can live in me. For this reason I am happy when I have weaknesses, insults, hard times, sufferings, and all kinds of troubles for Christ. Because when I am weak, then I am truly strong. 2 Corinthians 12:6-10 (NCV™)
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (WEB)
Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. Colossians 3:2 (WEB)
God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NRSV)
My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways. You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance. Endure until your testing is over. Then you will be mature and complete, and you won't need anything. James 1:2-4 (GOD’S WORD®)
Blessed is he who patiently endures trials; for when he has stood the test, he will gain the victor's crown--even the crown of Life--which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12 (WNT)
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:13-16 (ESV)
So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT)
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24 (NRSV)
Since Christ suffered and underwent pain, you must have the same attitude He did; you must be ready to suffer, too. For remember, when your body suffers, sin loses its power, and you won't be spending the rest of your life chasing after evil desires, but will be anxious to do the will of God. 1 Peter 4:1-2 (TLB)
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul. 3 John 2 (NRSV)
I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:3-4 (ESV)
