The LORD is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The LORD is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, Who made Heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. The Lord God says, "See, I am placing a Foundation Stone in Zion—a firm, tested, precious Cornerstone that is safe to build on. He who believes will need never run away again." Isaiah 28:16 (TLB)
Teton Bever DamThis is what the Almighty LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "You can be saved by returning to Me. You can have rest. You can be strong by being quiet and by trusting Me." Isaiah 30:15 (GOD’S WORD®)
Have you not known? have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't faint, neither is weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to him who has no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 (HNV)

[The following passage refers to the time when Jesus healed the demon-possessed boy, Mark 9:17-23:]
[The boy’s father said,] "But, if You possibly can, have pity on us and help us."
"'If I possibly can!'" replied Jesus; "why, everything is possible to him who believes." Mark 9:22-23 (WNT)
"So I say to you, 'Ask, and what you ask for shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you.' For every one who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, the door shall be opened." Luke 11:9-10 (WNT)
[In the Parable of the Widow and the Unjust Judge, Jesus teaches us to pray persistently, to pray without ceasing no matter what the obstacle. The widow was becoming obnoxious to the judge because of her hounding, and he granted her justice just to get her off his back. If an unjust judge can give justice because of persistence, how much more will a just and gracious God give justice to those He loves? The prayers of righteous people are powerful and effective.]
Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to teach them they should always pray and never become discouraged.
"In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected people. And there was a widow in that same town who kept coming to him and pleading for her rights, saying, 'Help me against my opponent!' For a long time the judge refused to act, but at last he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or respect people, yet because of all the trouble this widow is giving me, I will see to it that she gets her rights. If I don't, she will keep on coming and finally wear me out!'"
And the Lord continued, "Listen to what that corrupt judge said. Now, will God not judge in favor of His own people who cry to Him day and night for help? Will He be slow to help them? I tell you, He will judge in their favor and do it quickly." Luke 18:2-8 (GNT)
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17 (KJV)
Then said they unto Him, "What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?"
Jesus answered and said unto them, "This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent"…
And Jesus said unto them, "I am the bread of Life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst." John 6:28-29, 35 (KJV)
"The Father gives Me My people. Every one of them will come to Me, and I will always accept them. I came down from Heaven to do what God wants Me to do, not what I want to do. Here is what the One who sent Me wants Me to do: I must not lose even one whom God gave Me, but I must raise them all on the last day." John 6:37-39 (NCV™)
Stained Glass Good ShepherdOnce more Jesus addressed them. "I am the Light of the world," He said; "the one who follows Me shall certainly not walk in the dark, but shall have the light of Life." John 8:12 (WNT)
"I am the Door. If any one enters by Me, he will find safety, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I have come that they may have Life, and may have it in abundance. I am the Good Shepherd. A good shepherd lays down His very life for the sheep." John 10:9-11 (WNT)
"My sheep hear My voice. And I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall not perish, for eternity. And no one shall seize them from My hand. What My Father gave to Me is greater than all, and no one is able to seize from the hand of My Father. I and the Father are one." John 10:27-30 (CPDV)
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me." John 14:1 (KJV)
"I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in My name you ask Me for anything, I will do it." John 14:13-14 (NRSV)
When [the Jewish Council] saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. Acts 4:13-14 (NKJV)
For I am not ashamed of the Good News. It is God's power which is at work for the salvation of every one who believes--the Jew first, and then the Gentile. Romans 1:16 (WNT)
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32 (KJV)
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39 (NRSV)
The Scripture says, "No one who believes in Him shall have reason to feel ashamed." Jew and Gentile are on precisely the same footing; for the same Lord is Lord over all, and is infinitely kind to all who call upon Him for deliverance. For "every one, without exception, who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:11-13 (WNT)
Because they reject the Good News, the Jews are God's enemies for the sake of you Gentiles. But because of God's choice, they are His friends because of their ancestors. For God does not change His mind about whom He chooses and blesses. As for you Gentiles, you disobeyed God in the past; but now you have received God's mercy because the Jews were disobedient. In the same way, because of the mercy that you have received, the Jews now disobey God, in order that they also may now receive God's mercy. For God has made all people prisoners of disobedience, so that He might show mercy to them all. Romans 11:28-32 (GNT)
Before long, God the giver of peace will crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you! Romans 16:20 (WNT)
So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I fight to win. 1 Corinthians 9:26 (TLB)
My dear brothers and sisters, stand strong. Do not let anything change you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your work in the Lord is never wasted. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NCV™)
Please don't squander one bit of this marvelous life God has given us. 2 Corinthians 6:1 (The Message)
Sierra RosemaryNow we can come fearlessly right into God's presence, assured of His glad welcome when we come with Christ and trust in Him. Ephesians 3:12 (TLB)
I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. Philippians 1:6 (NLT)
I live in eager expectation and hope that I will never do anything that causes me shame, but that I will always be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past, and that my life will always honor Christ, whether I live or I die. For to me, living is for Christ, and dying is even better. Philippians 1:20-21 (NLT)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (WEB)
My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (WEB)
I do this in order that they may be filled with courage and may be drawn together in love, and so have the full wealth of assurance which true understanding brings. In this way they will know God's secret, which is Christ Himself. He is the key that opens all the hidden treasures of God's wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3 (GNT)
God doesn't want us to be shy with His gifts, but bold and loving and sensible. 2 Timothy 1:7 (The Message)
If we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. Hebrews 3:14 (NLT)
We have a great High Priest who has gone to Heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to Him and never stop trusting Him. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same temptations we do, yet He did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it. Hebrews 4:14-16 (NLT)
The Lord adds, "And their sins and offenses I will remember no longer"…
Let us draw near with sincerity and unfaltering faith, having had our hearts sprinkled, once for all, from consciences oppressed with sin, and our bodies bathed in pure water. Let us hold firmly to an unflinching avowal of our hope, for He is faithful who gave us the promises. Hebrews 10:17, 22-23 (WNT)

Yellow RanunculasDo not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. Hebrews 10:35 (ESV)
Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 (GOD’S WORD®)
Your lives should be untainted by love for money. Be content with what you have; for God Himself has said, "I will never, never let go your hand: I will never, never forsake you." So that we fearlessly say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid: what can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6 (WNT)
Every good present and every perfect gift comes from above, from the Father who made the sun, moon, and stars. The Father doesn't change like the shifting shadows produced by the sun and the moon. James 1:17 (GOD’S WORD®)
Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears we may have confidence and not shrink from Him in shame at His coming. 1 John 2:28 (ESV)
We have an assured confidence that whenever we ask anything in accordance with His will, He listens to us. And since we know that He listens to us, then whatever we ask, we know that we have the things which we have asked from Him. 1 John 5:14-15 (WNT)
"Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with Me." Revelation 3:20 (NRSV)
